How will this program prepare me for the future?
The medical industry is one of the fastest growing professions in the United States today.The Academy of Health Professions is helping to prepare the next generation of health and biosciences professionals for the workforce and for further study at the postsecondary and graduate levels.
What will I learn in this program?
- Level one begins with the study of Anatomy and Physiology, and also covers legal and ethical, terminology, communication and patient care.
- Level two continues with Patient Care. EKG, venipuncture, physical therapy, injections, medical office, surgical and Medical Assisting.
Will I obtain any certifications if I complete the AOHP program?
- Level One students obtain their First Aid certification.
- Level Two students obtain their CPR Healthcare provider certification and the opportunity to obtain their Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), their Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) license and their Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certificate.
